In autumn 2023, the Museum of Fine Arts in Chur is organizing a major exhibition focusing on the formation and artistic development of Alberto Giacometti. Many previous exhibitions on Alberto Giacometti have featured selected early works. Until now, no exhibition has presented this period in its own right. The aim of this exhibition is to take us to different sides of Alberto Giacometti's artistic development, starting with his interaction with his father Giovanni Giacometti and ending with his early years in Paris.
On the occasion of the exhibition: Alberto Giacometti. Portrait of the artist as a young man, Helene Bailly will lend a work by Alberto Giacometti, "Vase with flowers" (1918-1920), to the Bündner Kunstmuseum.
