HELENE BAILLY gallery is pleased to loan Nature morte à la nappe (1937) by Auguste Herbin to the retrospective exhibition “Auguste Herbin, the Revealed Master”, held at the Musée de Montmartre from March 15 to September 15, 2024.
Through this retrospective, the museum shines a light on Herbin’s work — a key figure in modern art who explored Fauvism, Cubism, and Abstraction. The exhibition offers an opportunity to rediscover this often-overlooked painter, whose pure abstraction, both radical and deeply human, left a lasting mark on the history of art.
