LE SURRÉALISME : SUPPORTS INSOLITES: 71, RUE DU FAUBOURG SAINT-HONORÉ, PARIS 8E

4 September - 10 October 2024

Alongside the exhibition “Le Surréalisme, encore et toujours” wich will be held at the Centre Pompidou from September 4th 2024, to January 13th 2025, the HELENE BAILLY Gallery pays tribute to some major figures of this movement.

The works on show reflect the interest of the movement's major artists in unusual media and techniques.

From Joan Miro's goat skins to Victor Brauner's plaster face sculpted on a wooden panel, to Alberto Giacometti's ballpoint pen-drawn human heads on newspaper, “SURREALISM: Automatism, Dream and Unconsciousness” highlights the Surrealists' desire to use a variety of media to nourish the imagination.

The exhibition also looks at the wealth of techniques that characterize Surrealism.
